The Coaches of 4 Star
We take the term "Coach" seriously at 4 Star. Every Coach has been through an arduous learning process under Coach Matt as well as formal training in knowing concepts of program design and theory, movement flaw identification and correction, biomechanics and anatomy, and understanding the sports psychological demands and how to work with athletes at different levels through the ups and downs of the sport.
Coach Matt
SENIOR COACH & OWNER
Coach Matt Adamcheck began coaching while in the 82nd Airborne as an Infantryman. Immediately falling in love with the Olympic lifts in 2007. He would continue with his new addiction coaching for the next 17 years training as an athlete, being mentored and learning under senior international coaches and Olympians alike, and running one of the few (till this day) Olympic weightlifting gyms in the country.
Coach Matt believes in 3 things that can make great athletes.
1. Extreme attention to detail
2. Being comfortable with being uncomfortable
3. Having a great and open relationship with your coach and team
These 3 things will carry you to do more than you ever believed you were capable of.

Coach Tracy
HEAD COACH
Coach Tracy began her athletic career in combat sports and was a fighter for 10 years before getting into Crossfit. It was while coaching CrossFit that Tracy found weightlifting-and quickly transitioned over to lifting competitively and coaching in the sport. She has been coaching weightlifting for 6 years
She has worked in many gyms in the capacity of strength coach and has also worked as an assistant in various physical therapy clinics-using her background to assist in rehab protocols and modalities and corrective exercise. She loves the technical aspect of coaching the lifts for both competition and sports performance, and specializes in assisting athletes with correcting imbalances and building a solid base. The reason Coach Tracy fell in love with weightlifting: “There is nothing more technical you can do with a barbell than the Olympic lifts. Anyone can be strong and fit. Not everyone can move well under load. It takes much practice, good coaching and high attention to detail” A mindset she maintains in her work: the three things it takes to be a good coach: -to be constantly learning and growing, looking for opportunities to hone your craft for your athletes -to genuinely care about the people you work with -to lead by example
